Debra Cootware
Whatever Debra does, it is in some way creative. She loves combining creative activities in one project. Since she was a child, Debra has been drawing and writing stories and poems. Now she is combining her writing and art in book format.
Every other week she and her husband are at the Greenfield Farmer's Market. He sells honey, she sells her books. Their sweet dog, Moxie the Doxie, star of her first children's book, has been her inspiration. Moxie had a difficult first meeting with bees so it was important to Debra to share with children and adults some ways to get along with these necessary neighbors. Debra's husband has 55 bee hives in his bee yard. Moxie prefers to keep a respectful distance.
